Cecil Rice Sunset in Venice ~ Watercolour Workshop – full day – 20 September 2025
Cecil provided us with a Zoom demonstration earlier this year. We are delighted that he has also agreed to deliver a Saturday workshop. He will be taking us through creating a watercolour painting. Based on his own (edited) photograph taken of a glorious, stunning sunset in Venice.
On the day, we will be aiming for an impression of this very beautiful scene. Focusing on the pervasive atmosphere and colour. The workshop will be suitable for artists of all abilities. The materials are included in the £60 cost for the day.
Golden Hour Cityscape ~ Acrylic Workshops with Marieta Sotirova – Tuesday 23 & 30 September from 13:30 to 1600
A two-week workshop at our Tuesday afternoon sessions early in the Autumn term. The theme of this workshop will be Golden Hour Cityscape in Acrylics. Held at St John the Evangelist Church Hall.
Marieta Sotirova is an oil painter based in Southampton, predominantly working from life, focusing on landscapes, portraits and figures. Mariet is inspired by the light and life, and tries to capture them in a very honest approach.
When not working from life, her work tends to be semi-abstract, capturing the feeling of the subject more than its actual shapes.
This workshop is suitable for artists of all abilities.
