Monthly Meetings

Fareham Art Group meets on the last Thursday of each month at Trinity Church Hall, Fareham. Entry is free for members and £3.00 for non-members. Refreshments are available.

A minimum of 5 professional artist demonstrations / informative talks take place each year using a variety of styles and mediums; an opportunity to learn from experts. There is also the opportunity to enter your own masterpieces in our competitions with the opportunity to win one of 7 trophies awarded annually. There are no meetings in July and August. The AGM is held in October and the Christmas event is held in December.

Weekly Painting Sessions (except during school holidays)

Tuesday afternoons

This is a structured tutored led programme giving an opportunity to learn from fellow artists and local experts in a friendly atmosphere. Refreshments are provided.

The painting sessions take place at the following times:

1.30 pm – 4.00 pm each Tuesday afternoon at:
St John the Evangelist Church Hall, Upper St Michaels Grove, Fareham;
Members £3.50 & Non-members £4.50

Afternoon painting sessions are currently postponed due to the Government’s restrictions to keep everyone safe.

When sessions resume we will let members know and remove this message.

Professional Artist Workshops

These workshops involve local professional artists giving members an opportunity to learn a variety of styles and techniques in a range of medium. They are held centrally in Fareham. Locations, costs, dates and times vary.

Summer Outdoor Painting Days

During July and August we arrange a programme of outdoor painting sessions. There is normally a small charge depending on the venue. Participants usually meet up at the venue.


The group holds an annual exhibiton to display and sell members work. We seek to exhibit at other exhibitions throuhgout the year and these can be arranged by a group of members
