Coach Trip to the Sussex Art Fair

Click here for more information on the Sussex Art Fair

On Sunday, 10 May, sixteen members joined the coach trip I had organised to take us to the Sussex Art Fair at Goodwood Racecourse. We were to leave Portchester at 9.30, but sadly the minibus had developed a puncture overnight, so we did not leave until just after 10.30.

I have to say thank you to all those understanding members who turned up early for a punctual start, only to learn about the puncture! They just accepted the delay, for which I was very grateful.  Thank goodness for the Coffee Shop in Portchester precinct, where we were able to get out of the cold.

So, then we were on our way, and after a few hiccups near the end of our journey, the driver was a bit lost, but those on board helped him out, and we arrived at Goodwood.

Sussex Art Fair is a wonderful exhibition of the most outstanding artworks. Every exhibiting artist is on hand at their respective stand and were very welcoming.  I think Jackie made a few good contacts with workshops and demos in mind.

The fair is very inspirational in encouraging everyone to do it all!  The patience of the artists is endless.  Over the weekend, they must be asked the same question time and again, but you would never know it!

I will probably set up another trip next year, so watch out around this time.

Our thanks to the committee for subsidising the trip, reducing the overall price for transport and entry to just £14.  Bargain! Trudy
