Weekend  Paint-along sessions

We are currently exploring whether there is any interest in setting up a regular painting session on a weekend day for members who are unable to attend our successful Tuesday afternoon group.

Initially we would like to hear from members who would be keen to attend on a regular basis (as we will need to cover hall costs). The session is likely to be a sociable pain-talong session of 2-2.5 hours.

If you are interested, please respond to  giving the following information

  • your name,
  • your preference for Saturday or Sunday, morning or afternoon, and
  • frequency i.e. monthly, fortnightly

We will update you in our next newsletter on how many responses we received, and any plans as a result of this.

Help us to publicise our 70th Anniversary Art and Craft Exhibition

We were delighted with the response to our 70th anniversary exhibition which is now only a couple of weeks away.  There is still time for you to let us have any unwanted gifts or  items for the tombola, please bring these along to the Tuesday afternoon painting sessions.

We would ask just once more if you could please do all you can to promote the event so that we get as many visitors as possible to the exhibition on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October.  If you need any more of the little cards to give to people to encourage their attendance, again these can be picked up at the Tuesday painting class.  We’ll also  be publicising the event on our social media channels – do please share these on your own channels too.

We look forward to seeing you at the preview on 29th October.

Portfolio racks

We need our portfolio racks for our forthcoming exhibition but we are unable to locate them.  If you have borrowed them for Hampshire Open Studio or for a previous exhibition could you please now return them to su.  Please contact to organise this.

Christmas Event – Thursday 25th November

Our event on 25th November is our last get together of 2021 and is open to all members.  This year, the party will be different because we need to ensure we keep our members safe, and remain flexible and adaptable should the government introduce any restrictions.

We’ll be having the usual quiz, competitions, raffle and festive activities.  There will be light refreshments (drinks and snacks) and of course coffee, tea and mince pies!

It help us to know the numbers attending to finalise our plans.

Forthcoming Demonstrations and Workshops

We are currently in the final stages of booking artists for the winter/spring demonstrations and for our Saturday workshops.  We’ll be able to give you the details in our next newsletter, but it looks to be an exciting year ahead!!
