Monthly Competition – Thursday 28 April 2022 – Molly Dicker and Sylvanarth Trophies

This month we have our annual  drawing competition.  The subject is ‘Portrait of someone you know’ and the appraisal will be given by local artist Jamie Sinclair.  Full details of the competition guidelines can be found on our website.

Doors open  at the Trinity Church Hall, Fareham  at 7pm, notices are at 7:15 followed by appraisal from 7:30pm.

There is also the Sylvanarth Trophy which is chosen by the President or Vice President of Fareham Art Group, for their favourite entry.

This is a drawing competition, this means that all entries are created without adding water or any other wetting Agent.

Full competition guidelines can be found on the Competitions page of our website

Please can members help by putting out the chairs on arrival, and we will need volunteers on the night to make the tea.

Appeal for people to help with tea and coffee.

We very much rely on your help to ensure that we can continue to have refreshments at our monthly meeting and will be taking names of anyone who is able to help to make the tea and coffee at our monthly meetings.

We are also looking for someone to coordinate refreshments and the rota of helpers for Thursday meetings.  Without  a bank of volunteers and someone to coordinate refreshments we cannot continue to provide them.  If you are able to help please let us know on the night, or by email.

Have you still got to collect your Membership Card for this year?

We still have a number of uncollected membership cards which will be available for collection this Thursday.   at the Trinity Church Hall on our Thursday demonstration evenings.

We also want to let you know that we will be re-aligning our membership year to our accounting year.  This means that from this year forward, Membership of the club will run from 1 September to 31 August each year.
